Dr. Cheryl Linaksita, DVM

Veterinarian

Dr. Cheryl received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine, where she met and fell in love with Chia; a prairie-special rescue kitty with frostbitten ears. The pair quickly escaped the harsh winters of Saskatchewan and returned to BC, where Dr. Cheryl was born and raised. In her spare time, Dr. Cheryl enjoys venturing up mountains, admiring the scenic outdoors, and spending time with her family and friends. She looks forward to joining the team at Cottonwood Veterinary Clinic, where she has special interests in small animal internal medicine, surgery, emergency medicine, and oncology. During her schooling, Dr. Cheryl was awarded two scholarships for achieving Excellence in Clinical Medicine and Oncology. She is also a Fear Free Certified Veterinary Professional; advocating for stress-free veterinary visits and continuously addressing ways to reduce anxiety and fear responses in nervous pets.
