Dr. Tanja Schnabel, DVM, MRCVS
For as long as I can remember, I wanted to become a veterinarian. I love how this profession combines caring for animals with the natural sciences and problem-solving skills, and it never seems to get boring. It is a privilege to support you and your pet during the good as well as the difficult times, and it is so rewarding to be able to make a positive difference to your pet’s wellbeing.
Though I grew up in Germany, I studied veterinary medicine at the Royal Dick School of Veterinary Medicine and Surgery in Edinburgh. After graduating in 2019, I decided to move to Canada because I am passionate about the snow-capped mountains and the outdoors that this country has to offer. I initially completed a 1-year internship at an equine-only clinic, before deciding to work with the smaller pets. I have a particular interest in feline and internal medicine, as well as cardiology and ophthalmology. I am looking forward to becoming a part of the Chilliwack community.
